Televes' subsidiary in Portugal has contributed to the light renovation of the old town of Bragança, especially to enhance the lighting around its wall.

By installing Retrofit modules, 150W traditional light could be replaced with more efficient LED lighting. Thanks to this solution, the original structure of the luminaires could be preserved. Bystanders can now benefit from enhanced visibility while still leaving intact the visual impact of such strategic wall.

This solution stands out for its remote-control modules and its IP67 protection brought about by the combined certification of optics and power source.

The Balcón del Adarve in Priego de Córdoba – listed as an Asset of Cultural Value – is a success case of the implementation of Televes LED lighting solutions.

The challenge was to adapt the existing lighting network, as its energy consumption was very high.

Televes was chosen for its Retrofit luminaires, as their lifespan is higher than 100 000 hours per module.

Energy savings around 70% were obtained compared with the starting situation. In addition, lighting harmony has been improved in every road.

Due to the tourist interest of the area, an added value is that the flow to the hemisphere is lower than 0.1%.

The solution implemented in Monachil should take care of the sky night and prevent light pollution.

Every Televes luminaire has been certified by the IAC (Astrophysical Institute of the Canary Islands), which guarantees such feature.

This solution includes different types of luminaires and finishing that adapt to each area. For example, the AtmosLED range: Villa lamps designed for more classic areas, and also adjustments of existing luminaires through Retrofit modules.

It was important that the luminaires generated what the IAC calls a "super-warm white LED" temperature. It is worth mentioning that, thanks to this color temperature, blue light emissions can be reduced (light pollution).

This project also stands out for the implementation of management platform AURANT, which combines point-to-point remote management of the luminaires and their electrical panels.

Seeking for a balance between the benefits offered by the new LED lighting technology and the reuse of the existing resources, custom Televes RETROFITS fitted with 12 and 24 LED were designed. Destroyed during the Civil War and rebuilt in 1943, it is now lit up by a 78w Televes Atmosled floodlight fitted with S90 optics, 4 meters above the ground. This is enough light to lit up the façade of this church on which a bell tower 45 meters high lies.

The purpose was to contrast the warm light of the cross, the clock and the bells without directing the light to the higher half. This is intended to avoid the effects of light pollution.

Our FLEX floodlights have been selected to light up three Soccer 11 and Soccer 7 fields. Different S20, S40 and S60 optics have been combined and the chosen temperature was 5000k with IRC80, guaranteeing an optimal color rendering index for this sport and achieving both uniformity and values that comply with Class II.
